Day 12 Wednesday.
Hey I have caught up.
Left Laidley about 9.30am.  Went for another look in the main street then out to the Op shop on the main road.
Well its settled I'm bringing the ute as well next time.
As we now have sooooo much stuff to take home.
I scored a lovely pink handbag.  As well as an oil pourer, cups, another old rusty Caltex shop front hanger, BP coffee cup, shell bear, shell Meteorology collector card book , with all the cards in it(only one Fred was missing) and a few other bits and pieces.
Left there well after 11.30am.  Going to get a long way today.
Off to Esk and surrounding towns.
Found an amazing man who took us back to his home and showed us his collection.  His house was like a museum.  Amazing.
Fred has some great shots on his camera.
Then off to Wivenhoe Dam for the night.
Its going to take a while to get home.  Laidley is only 49kms away.  But we did do 138kms
And the Dam was worth the visit.  Amazing

In bed by 9 o'clock on a Nats weekend ! ....  I don't believe it.
And a dam with water in it !  ....  that's hard for a West Aussie to believe also.

I know the 1.30am the night before did us in. We did stay up for as long as we could.
The dam is a bit strange.  We also have no water in ours at home.

Fred was mowing every Monday when we left home.

Day 13 Thursday.
Wow what a beautiful place to wake up to.
Kangaroo's everywhere.

Drove to Esk and then up the outside of the Somerset dam Again stopping at every Antique and Second hand shop.
Fred found a leggy blonde

Got to Maleny.  Wow another beautiful place.  Staying at the showgrounds for the night.
So much to see around here tomorrow.
Set up the TV so got to see the Footy finally.
Apparently I was snoring in the first 20 Minutes.

Day 14 Friday
Woke up and decided we would stay another night and do a bit of site seeing.
There is a loop you can do up around the mountains and back again.
Took us most of the day.
Map below where we went.

Wow lots of Ups and Downs.
Lucky we decided to leave the van behind.  There is no way we could have done it with the van.

Fred playing dress ups at one of our stops

Wish I had put on my glasses to read the map.  This is the Oops part.  Apparently it says DIRT ROAD.
Lucky it was all downhill and not raining.

Nice and steep

Also stopped at the fig tree.  But can't seem to upload more photos so giving up for yesterdays pics.
Went to the local pub to watch the footy and caught the bus back to the show grounds
Bed at last, another big day.

Day 15 Saturday.
Said Goodbye to Colin and Lyn (Car 76) and George and Barbara Cars 81 and 82).  They have been in the park a couple of days too.
Off to have a cup of tea with Ron and Dianne at Mooloolah.
Decided to stay with them for a couple of days for rest and relaxation.
And Fred's trying to fix his brakes.  They seem to be smelling a little. Something about the wheel cylinders.
Too many steep hills.  mmmmmmm
Ron and Fred when to check out an action that is happening in two weeks.  Some interesting cars.
I stayed home and washed and slept till 11.30am.  Think the weekend has caught up with me.
We then went to Rick's Diner in Palmwood.
WOW again.
Had great burgers and Alcoholic Ginger Beer on tap.
There was a bike run on and they had all stopped for a drink.  Must have been 100 bikes at least.
Fred parked in the middle of them all for a photo shoot. CAREFULLY

Home and cooked dinner for Dianne.  Missed the footy.  Apparently the Cowboys won.  Yay
OK off to bed again.

Day16 Sunday
Went for a drive to Mooloolaba and area. Had a swim at the main beach. Found a few good shops.
Decided to go for a drive to the glasshouse mountains. Came across a major car crash so abandoned that mission after being stuck in Traffic for half an hour. Bugger that shit. For something different found a pub for a quick ale at the Beerwah hotel. One of the locals gave us a shortcut back to Ron and Dianne's. Fred worked on his brakes and went to the pub for tea. Another good day

well it looks like Fred polishing the board on the beach
but the ones in the water are a bit far away and a bit to fuzzy to be really sure  Grin Grin Grin

reminds me of me surfing Bells on the way to the Mt Gambier Nats
