fitzy used hq door handles That's what I thought, too. Only the front doors though - the rears were shaved. The white over blue incarnation of fitzy's car is my absolute favourite FC - although this may change when Pete pulls his finger out and finishes his sedan.

Ed's FE wagon had the handles shaved off completely, replaced with a flush push-button to activate them. I'm sure there was a thread showing them in detail here once, but the photos may have been lost. Perhaps its current owner could assist? You there Robin?

Hey thanks everyone for the info, I was thinking hq door handles but then I look like buying a vt comodore to use the running gear into my fe sedan and thought maybe I could use the handles from the doors.

I'm with NES FrankieJ most of us run the narrowed commodore diff although there are a couple of other options it can depend on what wheels and brake setup you wish to run but then I may be just confusing you even more. I used everything I could from the donor and have a look at NES's build thread along with some of the others they show you some of the way to do things. Regards Neil H

Hey Nes and Firekraka I appreciate your input, this is my first fe rebuild for myself I usually do bodywork for customers and they do the rest themselves, I am mainly an fj holden man and have spent many years doing so many major changes to them I can't even start to put on here what I have achieved in the past, Richard fox who is well known owns my old fj limousine and I also stretched the one that's in WA, I have done many projects for the Hughes brothers, and my claim to fame is the bodywork on the number one holden in the Canberra museum, I am also on the build up DVD of the very same car, so,I'm guessing if I put my head and heart into this project and with the help of you guys then it should work out haha, I also have my own page Frankie's Restorations on the other big social media site......so cheers again guys.

Hey guys not sure if you have seen Don Lofflers book she's a beauty, but in that book you will find me and my fj limo, don did a great story on my car when I was doing the bodywork on the number one holden, he then signed a copy for me but I since lost it in a house fire, anyway if anyone has the book it's stephen and Pam carlons fj limousine with a 350 chev and nine inch, but built to look like it was made in the 50's cheers frankiej.

Also a good idea when mounting a commodore rear end to saddle the sway bar at the same stage as the rear springs .Its neater and stronger with less clutter .Haydn

I saw one in Toowoomba a few months back that fitted the description. It wasn't quite finished, but it certainly looked like an abortion. Made me want to spew.
