Hi I am new to this group and joined after reading all the good advice being swapped from time to time.

I recently purchased an EK ute, here in Tasmania, which is my retirement project.  The body is straight as and most of the bits are there but while waiting for the weather to warm up, so I can paint, I thought I would get the motor into some order.

Took the head in for all the up grades for long life and unleaded petrol and my guy found it cracked in 3 places.

So I am looking for a  replacement head

Any one looking to sell one?

I am no expert but :-
I am taking the word of the expert at the reconditioning shop I took it to.  He said he could pin it and he was happy to do it but suggested as I was not in a hurry- I had explained that the ute is just a shell and the only reason for bringing him the head was to get the project moving while waiting for the weather to warm up so I can paint- I look around for a better part.

I have used this shop before and they have giving good advice.
Besides I would rather try and have a decant head than worry about blowing a gasket or filling the sump with coolant.

TassEK,
I'm live in the South but I'm still away on the big island at the moment for another couple of weeeks. If you have no luck over the next few weeks give me a PM and I will look in the shed for you.

regards
