After having Old holdens years ago , EH's FC Panel van etc , i got into other things , I found this old girl up in Mytleford and picked her up , i can weld a bit but no expert , she is pretty rusty ,but possibly worth doing , rusted out floors some bits of chassis rails, as well as plenty of other places , i will be asking lots of questions , seems a great place for the info , with some amazing resto's and talented people ,these are a few pics ,i got 5 or barrows of leaves and mulch out of her

Welcome to the forum first of all.
Hopefully when you get it cleaned up and all of the crap out of it you will have a good platform.
Keep the photos and the questions coming... Plenty people here will to help.
Cheers JB

i just spent 3 hours reading your build JB , far out , not gunna happen with mine, i found a local guy who gets old holdens and i picked up a door , seat , and glass , i also went for a walknear my place and found some old dumped holdens that have been well hidden for 30 years , they are stuffed but i will be going back to raid some parts , i am going to be trying to keep the Patina and fix it underneath , just running a grey motor and a HR front end for now , my mate has an old Volvo 250 with a disc brake rear , i have heard of guys fitting these

You may not be the best welder now but when you have the ute on the road you'll be a guru. A bit of work ahead of you but glad to see one being resurrected rather than left to rot. Good Luck, Derrick.

Massive task ahead of you, we all look forward to seeing how it comes along. What I have noticed on this site if you need advise, parts or help all you need do is ask. Somewhere someone will have done what you are about to do and maybe they might have some materials you can use as well. happy building Craig

i went and collected some parts today , i got an engine ,with extractors and speco finned rocker cover, possibly rebuilt a long time ago ,and not used, tail lights, really good tail gate and spare wheel hatch, disc brake front end and booster , so soon the fun will begin, i got them off a guy who has some other FC and EK parts , lots of chrome trims and tail lights ,if anyone is interested

I think I must be partially blind as I just don't see the rust. All I see is all the solid stuff. That just looks like "a little extra effort"!If you lose interest and want it gone, give me a buzz haha.Get it blasted first then start cutting that shit out.Not that hard.Really looking forward to the build pics mate, good luck.Cheers,Jamie.

Don't loose the lock for the spare wheel door. They are costly to track down. Ute looks like it will need some work, but they all do. Good luck.
