Had the pleasure of visiting Ray Grigg today, a previous Director and General Manager Operations at Holden in the eighties.
I have known Ray for a while as he was the president of the R.A.A ( Royal Automobile Association) here in Adelaide where my wife also works.
We finally had the chance to get Ray and FErgus together for a photo shoot.

What's the story on the lion Stewy, was it a retirement award or for some achievement in the company?

Career contributions to Holden.
Ray was the man who battled GM for the bigger platform of the VN commodore, when GM still wanted to persist with the narrow opel VL platform.

Those of you that have the book " Heart of the Lion " by John Wright. pages 283,284  gives an insight into this.

It would be a privilege to meet the man, and just as good to meet his pet Lion.

It was Les, Ray is still a passionate Holden man and current rides are 6.0 litre statesman in "Regal Peacock" and a Captiva in "Snowflake"
He couldn't wait to show me his pet Lion and is very proud of it.
