I have been requested to make seat belt mounts for a few people so if anyone else is chasing some here you go. Water jet cut 65 x 45 3mm mild steel 8mm radius 7/16 UNF nut tigged on 2 sides. Why muck around with flat bar. 8 bucks each I have 50 in stock free delivery for 4 or more in a padded envelope.

If you haven't grown up by 50, you don't have to.

These look the goods for sure and you're certainly reasonable on price Pete. Are these ones for a particular application? I thought minimum area was about 3750 square mm. Not criticising in any way, just wanting to clarify requirements. Regards, Martyn

PS forgot to note, I've had a look at previous posts showing things you've done in the past and I think the service you provide with bits like this is just magic. Martyn

All in... This is straight from my engineer and is latest specs on the plate. Although in the document there is no measurement for the B pillar plate. Send me your email if you want a copy

Martyn sure it wasn't 350 square mm
Sorry was thinking in cm not mm,, , 6.1 Seat belts may be adequately anchored to a steel floor pan, upper body or pillar by 7/16" UNF SAE Grade 8 bolts with a mild steel reinforcement backing plate. The reinforcement backing plate must have an area of not less than 3,750mm˛ (75mm x 50mm) in contact with the mounting surface and a thickness of not less than 3 - 4.5mm (1/8" - 3/16"). .......FC427......

Hey mate do you have a copy of that? Mine was form 3.6 Occupant seating. My engineer obviously not looking there and I'll do 75x50 for the pillars with 65x45 everywhere else (unless easier for Pete for one size). Bolt is not to go through the pillar like Frankenstein... (I hate that anyway)

Nes, if you've still got the commodore you wrecked just cut the b pillar ones out of that, that's what i did and my engineer is happy with it, after all they were designed by GMH to do the job. Pedro

I'm with you NES, I don't like the Frankenstein look. I've got him and his family. My car came with 2 holes per pillar. I'll be putting in plates. Marty

Pedro, Car is gone. I kept the bolts and brackets as I stripped the car clean. I have a complete set of HT belts with the belt retainers etc and plan to have new webbing with commodore retainers...
