Hi all, I've posted some photos of the inner sills I had pressed by one of my customers. They are not exact to the original, but they come close. He said he would do some more sets if the demand is there. If you are interested pm me and I'll let him know.
Thanks Jim

i would love some inner sills that have the original circles stamped into them.
the current repro ones are just flat.

I have actually cut a top and bottom die in the waterjet but its only half done was going to press them out in one hit on our 80 ton press brake in 1.6 zincseal ?

I was only doing it for me and a friend not trying to  cut in on you or anything.

No problems Pete, alls fair in love and war. As I said, I thought I would ask the question!!. Go right ahead with yours, I have no ties with the guy, just thought I would put it out there for the forum members. If you can press the whole thing with the front bend I recon you woluld do ok.

As close to the originals as we can get I reckon.
Appreciate people all working together to get the best result.

just an out there thought.......................
would there be any advantage having these pressed in a thicker guage metal - wondering if it would help with stiffness for modified cars with larger engines?Huh??

Ill press a few lengths in 1.6zinc and see what the turn out like.
Me and my mate were going to run 2.5mm zinc folded ones for strength but i suggested we do the stock look as we allready have a chassis rail under there the metal thickness may play havoc fitting the sills back on.
ill make one end longer and blank on one end so the step can be fabricated as one piece  its too hard on the press to try press the step in all in one hit as it creates uneven load on the press.

I have a backlog of disc brake adaptors to get out for people hence why i havent been pushing the sell latelly work and familly are first but if they work out they should be a 5 min job each.
