I usually go and get mine with a car trailer. It's a bit of an adventure, Over the years I have done this at least a dozen times and only got into strife twice.
Once when a weld on my towbar partially failed (fixed next town)
And once when my tow car (EK Hydra-matic Wagon!) decided it had had enough half way up Victoria Pass in the Blue Mountains, that was a bit sweaty
, but eventually a kind soul passing in a F@#d Ute took pity on me and towed us up the rest of the way
