X2 Air Filter

Hi all,
I purchased an original X2 manifold, carbies & cleaner last year and have been trying for some time now to get hold of an X2 air filter element. At present it has one of those oval F**d things sitting on a 10mm bed of silastic!!
I've given up trying to source the original (rare as rockin' horse poop) so I was hoping someone out there knows what other element will fit. Any ideas will be really appreciated.

Have you tried Gary Thorpe garythorpe@bigpond.com.au? He's on here sometimes but also runs the Vic HD HR site. We spoke to him when we were down for the Vic AHD and the impression I got was that he had plenty of stuff - or at least the contacts to get it.
