Heres an interesting item aquired from a sales manager of Sydney Atkinson Motors Perth. They were the biggest Holden dealer in WA and supplied parts to all Holden country dealerships untill Holden took over the task.

Heres how it worked...You were going on a long trip and may need some spares just in case. You went to the parts dept at Sydney Ats and told them what parts you needed. They were put into the box and you paid for them. On your return you took the box back to Sydney Ats and they gave you a full refund of any unused parts.
The box is 15 inches long
I reken anyone thinking of travelling accross the paddock for the Nats should go to their local dealer and ask for one of these Smiley

This box had 12 volt parts, however they were available for earlier.

Cheers
Gary

That's awesome. People were so much more obliging back then. Try doing that now and they'd probably laugh you out of the dealership...
