I think is would be blade adjustment rather than a washer if it is only travelling a little too far. Have you tried re-positioning the arms?

The problem is the rubber bushes in the ends of the long wiper arms under the dash where they attach to the wiper motor drive arms. The FC ones are rubber and not up to the forces applied by the electric motor. EK had nylon bushes which is what you need to replace them with.
While you are there check the spindle end of the arm as well as these also wear out and get very sloppy.
Good replacements are available.

Good Tip Ken, had not read that before. When you say available , from where? If you have them obviously Fred has first dibs and if you had a second set would like to purchase.

There is a bloke on ebay that makes obsolete plastic bushes, I got a set of bushes from him for an old Speco Shifter. If someone was keen to approach him and he was interested maybe we could get a forum deal happening?

The "bush man" is keen, we'll need a good plastic bush to copy and I can provide the mechanism for testing. If someone can supply a plastic bush in good condition please let me know.
He obviously can't quote a price until he can see what it is he's making and I am not sure if he will sell direct of through ebay yet either.

I have tested a set of the reproduced bushes, they fit very nicely and the creator will be making a kit and selling them soon. As soon as I have details I will be posting them here for all.

I've just purchased a set of the wiper bushes. Hopefully they'll be up to the job. The seller seems like a nice bloke, too.
