Hi Guys
just wondering if is possible to replace the grey motor sump gasket in my fc without pulling the motor out
it looks like there is a fare bit of room if i lowered the steering arms but any other ideas would be great
thanks Phil

I would remove the engine to do this myself, it would take about 2 hours to have it out and mounted on an engine stand.

Just my opinion.

Remove the lower front engine mount nuts and jack up the front of the motor a couple of inches . Check that you don't over stress rear mounts, radiator hoses ,fuel lines ,exhaust etc. The sump will slide out towards the diff. Remember to drain the oil beforehand Grin. I had an FC that constantly threw the #5 big end and this was the easiest way to replace the bearing.
