Marques is on again on Sunday 23 November.  Here is the flyer.

http://www.actmotorclubs.org.au/images/marques08flyer.jpg

The ACT club is meeting at Barrine Drive Acton carpark at 8.00am to drive in convoy to John Knight Memorial Park for the display.  This is the only Canberra event recognising GMH's 60th anniversary.

Cheers

Hey there,

Is this event only for club members or can anyone come and have a look at the cars?

Regards
Janette

It is a completely open event.  Anyone can bring their car of any model to the Park - there is no entrant's fee and everyone is very welcome to look at all the cars on display.  There is no need to be a club member to display or look.  It is always an interesting day.

Come and introduce yourself to us where the Holdens are parked.

Cheers

The weather was unkind to us on Sunday - cold and wet.  This kept numbers down, particularly amongst the older cars.  We also had cars away in Melbourne - so there aren't even any photos worth posting.  Oh well, next year.

The highlight of the day for me was looking through Janette's photo album of the cars she has owned - although my heart sank to discover that she was the owner of the FE wagon that Zulu picked up a few years ago.  Just to think of what could have been if it had been me who was the one on the spot at the right time.  It was nice to meet you Janette - keep up the work on your FC and get it on the road for that end of year formal.

Cheers
