Hi, when painting the last coats with acrylic paint is it best to mix clear with the colour, or just clear? The paint is not metallic.

I'm no spray painter but goes against everything i've ever known or read about using acrylic paint ? My understanding has always been you clear over the top of colour so that you cut back/buff to get the best finish ?

Glen if you are using a metallic or pearl in acrylic yes it has to be top coated with clear and then you cut and buff the clear if you are using a solid colour you cut and buff the paint ......FC427........
