A young friend has been on the lookout for an FC for quite a while - being an apprentice he hasnt got many spare dollars.
His persistance paid off, yesterday we picked up a 78,000 mile, one owner, FC sedan from under a house in Nundah, Brisbane.
The car was purchased new on 30 June 1958 and has always lived at the same address.
this is where the car lived.
When first inspected the FC was thickly covered with years of dust - the owners son wiped it down before i could get a pic.
Still has the cross ply tyres
there is a bit of rust in the sills but none in the floor pans.
the front brakes were seized on so it was a winch job to get it on the trailer.
seats had been protected by seatcovers
we were pleased to find the seats squabs were not ripped, torn or sagged.
It is the original single colour but has been repainted some time ago.
Has a locking fuel cap, sunvisor, weathershield, 2 front seat belts and an FB bonnet bird.
No radio and it still has the rubber mats.
We are happy.
