I was hoping someone out there who has already completed a V6 conversion into a FC could give me a list of primary parts useful to complete the project.  I have my complete donor car and have stripped the wiring loom, steering colum interior at this stage but not sure what exactly I need to make the conversion easier. I plan to use as much running gear from my vs donor car as possible ie brakes etc so with that in mind any help is greatly appreciated.  I know its a bit of an open ending question but not sure what I am getting myself into.  I have an engineer to do the conversion but he's out of the country on holidays at the moment so he's unatainable.

Thanks in advance

Jase

Hi Jase. Where abouts in Oz do you reside? I have completed a VS into a Ute using an Insurance wreck. I used an HR front end with with a rear mounted shortened Commodore rack. The sump modification is available, as is the wiring loom to the original dash units. Happy to help if I can. I used a VN oil filter & fitting to make room for an Idler pulley out front for A/Con. Most parts are available. I wanted to use Struts for the front suspension, however, even by cutting down the inner skirts , still ran out of room.  There are workshops now that do a " drive in / drive out " conversion. Cheers old-blu.

Old Blu.

I am located in Cairns FNQ so no doubt to far away from much assistance in person.  Not to many members on the forum this way I bet.  Any photos or pointers would be appreciated.

Kindest Regards

Jase
