what is the difference between the two buckets?
i know there are slight differences with the headlight rims but was unaware of buckets.
i'll check in the morning when the temperature gets above zero Wink

Everything is different, the hole where the wires go through, the screws where the headlight bolts on, the shape is different and the rubber seal on the back is different. You can't buy them new, but NOS ones do turn up - especially Lucas ones as they were common to other cars of the era.

The hole in the back for the wires is roughly 1 inch for Lucas and 1/2 inch for Bosch

I have some Lucas headlight buckets if you need them. I went and had a look at them today - the Lucas buckets have "LUCAS" stamped on them, but Bosch have no markings.
