This is a photo of Macquarie Street in Sydney, dated December 1959. Just behind the wagon and ute are a couple of FC taxis....

Cheers...

Hey isn't that the roofline and guard of an FB in the immediate foreground of the photo.  Might be a very early FB as they weren't released until January 1960!!

would be nice to find a pic of a FB proto type being driven around, but if you look really carefully you can see the ridge on the guard leading to the head light peak of an FE/FC  Sad

Hey Flamed FE

The FB/EK has a ridge that runs to the headlight as well. If you look at the front door of this car you will notice that it has a 90 angle at the top left to allow for the wrap around screen.

BUT i will stand corrected :-/

I have the feeling it is a 59 Ford Cusso or something like that.  The guard looks a little narrow for FB/EK

G'day guys...
Didn't mean to create any confusion over the pic.... I just cropped out a lot of the stuff that wasn't "FE/FC Holden-ish"... Wink I've just scanned in the rest of the roofline that was in the original pic in the hope it might help you identify the car in question....

On the back though, it states the pic was taken on the 17/12/59, and appeared in the paper on the 23/12/59, 3/9/64, 17/9/62 and 17/1/64....

Hope this helps..Smiley

The thing that amazes me about the photo, is that their isn't any parking meters. Grin
