Got off the bike long enough to get a bit done Wink, even harder to get stuff done now i'm back at work though, Dash is together, wipers are working (thanks for the bushes Pete), heater demister is working and the vents are pumping air, just the gauges to hook up now, the temp sender is the wrong size of course  Roll Eyes, hey Pete do you know where the oil gallery plug is, where the gauge hooks up to Huh,  the painter got two doors back to me, he should have the rest of the bits finished in the next two weeks.

Just remove the original sender and put the oil line into that (silver can on the drivers side lower part of the block) think its 1/8 gas thread same as your guage should be.

Looks great.
Did the bushes take much fiddling ? they were oversized slightlly.

Did you sort the temp sender issue ? if not leave it with me.

Thanks guys and thanks for the tip on the oil sender location Pete, I haven't done anything about the temp sender yet it's only just too small for the hole so i'll have to get an adaptor and drill and tap the housing, I should go and talk to the auto sparky first i suppose and see if there is one slightly bigger that will do the same job, yeah the bushes were too big so i started filing them but the material they are made from is really hard, so in the end it was easier just to drill the wiper arms to suit, had a bit of trouble with getting them both to travel the same distance but i just had to adjust the crank a bit to get it more central, I thought i had it pretty close when i modified it but obviously not, with the hole i have to drill in the intake pipe for the rubber is a normal metal hole saw going to cut through the stainless alright or do i need a special one.

Woohoo that's a weight off my mind, we have oil pressure  Grin Grin, the temp. gauge and thermo fan are also working now so in theory all the wiring is done apart from the interior lights which can't be done yet, tomorrow i have to modify the bar that goes across the top of the radiator as it hits on the thermo fan and make a bracket to support the intake pipe but then i can do the hoodlining and start on assembling some panels at last.  Grin Grin

Looking very sweet Pedro. Couple of questions, sorry if you've answered them earlier in your thread. What is the dash knob on the gauge holder connected to? And, what booster have you used? Martyn

That's for the ejector seat for when a certain person hassles me too much about my updates LOL Grin Grin
If you look closely you can just see the heater water control valve/switch just below it, I cut down an old choke knob and cable, works perfectly and where the choke used to be is now the heater/demister fan switch, also the reason the oil pressure light is on is because that is now the handbrake light, the brake booster is the VL Commodore one i just cut down the bracket to suit.

Yeah after your pm the other day about someone sending round "the henchmen" to confiscate my bike if i didn't get my arse off the seat and into gear i thought i'd better make some progress  Wink  Grin Grin hey it's funny how this only seems to work one way i haven't seen any updates on nosFEratu lately.  Huh Huh
