I am thinking of doing a radical brake upgrade, Tongue EK Drums & Shoes onto FC Backing plates.

Has anyone done this before? would I need to change the backing plates over, as  the EK Shoes are slightly wider.

Thanks, Gary

I haven't done this conversion, but I think you have to change the backing plate since the linings cant go further outwards - so they must go inwards.

Hi Gary
I did this many years ago on an FC and yes I had too change the backing plates as the shoes just won't fit properly if you don't, hopes this helps.
