My generator is cactus. Checked it for charge and its not producing a dam thing. Any ideas on how to fix or Is it cheaper to rebuild or convert to alternator?

Nes, different bracket needed, you will probably need a different belt, but depending on brackets used it may be OK.
Original regulator has to be deleted from the wiring and depends whether you use an Alt within internal or external Regulator as to how the wiring is redone.
