Wow - looks like a lot of fun was had by a lot of people.

The Hambsters look sensational, and as usual plenty to drool over in the car-park.

That 202 looks like its best days are behind it...  Shocked

Great pix, as always.

cheers

Like RET says, great pictures. Thanks Alex.

I thought I had big problems on the day with the XU1, lots of noise after the first pass which sounded like a spun bearing. Turned out to be two broken flywheel bolts - the thing was flopping about everywhere.

You get that sort of stuff doing 7000rpm clutch dumps ;-)

Soon to be corrected with ARP bolts and a new ceramic clutch. Will also be dumping the 3.08 LSD in favour of a 3.55 spooled centre.

RET hinted about a 202's best days being behind it - check the picture on Alex's site!!!!!

WOW!!!!

See you at the next Nosalgia drags.

Cheers,

Craig.

Here's the 202.

I was standing next to that slingshot when it let go, with bits of block whizzing around. I must say, I thought the bang would have been bigger. The sound did not do the result justice. Checked it out in the pits later and that floating piece was removed. You could see what was left of the pistons and the bore.
Hey Craig......
It was good to hear the damage was not as first suspected. Sorry I did not get a pic of you on the track. Lined up for the shot, but that Ford you were up against decided to turn day into night. Here's a pic from Badger for ya!

Here's a link to Badgers site for lots more pics from the drags. These can be purchased also.

There is atleast 1 more site yet to post pics, as well as Cruzin. I will post links when available.

Alex

Hey Colin.
First time out, 20.4 with lots of wheel spin.
Second run, 20.004 and lost with a breakout. (Dialed in 20.1)
Taught us a bit about the car, esp the gearing.
Some changes should see this number come down.

Here's another link to some pics. MissB is on page 1.

Excuse my ignorance, but is a 20 good for a grey powered FC?

Don't get me started!

At the Regional strips they let all sorts of late model, fuel injected crap run!!

They may be onto something though.... my 5yo thinks VN's are 'old cars' Wink

This car was a tow car/support vehicle and the picture shows it on the return road, not on the strip.

There's no rules for what turns up in the pits, just on track must be pre-72 build cars.

Cheers,

Craig.
