Here's a few more pics from the National Archive site showing FE's at Dandenong.

These were listed as cars being painted, but obviously they would not be applying paint with the chrome and windows in place. My guess is that they are applying some sort of polish or wax. Anyone have any ideas or know what is actually taking place?

Hi Alex,
It is the early version of the water 'ingress' inspection procedure,the second shot is of the blowers used to dry the car afterwards.

It is still done today,but the equipment is a bit more sophisticated and a lot higher pressures...

I've seen a couple FB and EJ "painting pics", but never any FE/FC ones.... Great find!!
