rear spring removal

When removing the rear cart spring, the front spring eye mounting bolt has a large 'countersunk screw looking' outer end to it. Is this bolt screwed into the subfloor rail or is it just pushed in? (Hammering won't budge it, but 50 years of rust may be the real reason)
thanks,
R.

Not pressed in, just bolted in. WD-40 and elbow grease will get it out. Sometimes it helps to use vice grips and give it a twist.
Cheers,
Craig.

Ive found these can be easily removed with a 2 foot length of 1 inch diameter steel held by an unsuspecting friend against the bolt. You then hit the steel bar with a rather large heavy hammer and the bolt moves out nicely

If it's all too rusted and Ken's touch does not work my suggestion is hack saw through the pins carefully on either side of the spring (they are soft so its not too difficult, helps if the rubbers are knackered). You can then drill out the large heads or if you have one get the air chisel on to them.
If you are using the rare spares replacement be careful to knock them back in place and do not try to tighten them in with the nut> The metal is soft and the thread strips. Another $30.00 down in my case.
Regards,
Steve.
