Hi .. while my FC is in getting a new coat of paint, thought I would spruce the motor and the things hanging on the side of it up, and when I went to put the Fram oil filter back I noticed that the oil outlet pipe, from the filter back into the block, has a brass fitting that looks a gas bbq fitting, ie a very fine hole Huh is it supposed to have this little fine hole or has some one mixed up the fittings ? .. the only thing I can think of is that it is to build up oil pressure  .. tried to insert photo but not sure how .. Regards Stephens

Found an old thread back in Jan 2006 that answers the question and for anyone interested the small hole is supposed to be there and the brass fitting is called a "restrictor" .. Regards stephens
