What steering arms?  What stub axles?
If it is HKTG steering arms on HQ stub axles, then you need to have a look at the HQ steering arm and compare it to the HKTG one - this will show you where material needs to be removed.

hi ken
HQ stub axles and the arms you sold me awhile back which are hktg. Just thought i was doing something wrong with the combo i have.

No you're not doing anything wrong - as with a lot of mix and match, not everything goes together without modification. The WB calipers are also the bulkiest calipers available as well.
This is one of the reasons why I developed the AU brake upgrade at Hoppers Stoppers - less grinding is needed to make the components fit together.

There is some grinding on the HR and Torana stub axles with the Hoppers Stoppers Kit where the bracket bolts on - it is not an entirely bolt up deal. No grinding on the HQ stub axles though.

Ok cool, might hit it a bit with the grinder.
cheers ken
