If your spraying primers such as High fill I would use 1.8mm tip & for top coats 1.4mm.
What it to rev ? install a CHEV !

I do have trouble pushing the primer out with 1.4, had to make it pretty thin, might get a 1.8, I had a 1.4 and thought it might be to small for the 2k but if 1.3 is recomended I guess it isnt, I used the 1.4 on the weekend for my motor and sump and it came out perfect except for some minor peel wich I guess is expected with hvlp, still looks nice and glassy and gave no dramas this time.

glad to hear it turned out nice,
by the way for primers you should always use another gun of around 1.8 to 2.2,
with slightly lower air pressure for primer also as it needs to come out a bit thick.
