Does anyone know if this car has been sold ? I have tried to contact the owner , but have had no luck.
I spent most of my money on beer , fast cars and women - the rest I just wasted.

How did you manage to get hold of the seller. I sent him a couple of emails over the past month and got nil response. Congrats on the purchase, from what I have heard of the car and its resto by tmundie not that long ago you have got yourself a great car. Well done.

Cheers Jim

Blacky did you end up buying this car because i bought an FC off Jason in September 08 which was done up by Tony Mudie as well.

No I didnt , it was supposed to be ready for rego - when I got to Canberra on the thursday before easter and went to pick up the car , it had oil leaks, none of the lights worked , it was running like a dog , seat belts missing , etc so I gave it a miss.

When did you buy it Gwen ? Just recently or a while ago ?  The car had potential , but it was a LONG way away from what he told me over the phone - there was rust in the inner sill that would have had to be repaired , seat belts missing , lights not working , the rear bumper was only attached by one bolt on each side , etc etc etc .  It was a good looking car but had been poorly reassembled after paint.

We bought it in September last year. The inner sills had been fixed but the outer sills had a bit of rust, not too bad. It only needed a few minor things to pass rego. We took out the old steering column and put in another one and put an FC steering wheel back on it. As for seat belts, it passed with only one. We put the new carpet in and gave it a good polish and it looks great. A real head turner.

It was advertised on Ebay for buy-it-now for $4,300. My partner bought it straight away without seeing it in the flesh. Then we had to come up with the money. Borrowed here and there, but we did it. Have a look at some of the photos. http://fefcholden.org.au/forum/index.php/topic,14183.0.html.

Looks good - the car certainly had potential , and you have done a great job of cleaning it up.
