A little overkill but not much
we went for a top name brand that supposedlly idle excellent where as the cheap ones can give a rough idle
My dyno man is pretty switched on.
He said 800cc would probablly do but we went 1000cc as the computer does all the talking to them and they only get what fuel the computer tells them anyway.

I have been talking to him about some bigger HP figures and this way its one less thing to change.

I have to purchase another fuel pump so we will run 2 bosch 044s

Slight overkill is a "slight" understatement IMO considering stock 440's are good for 250-300kw

The only reason you would run injectors that size with the current mods is if you were planning on running E85?

Using the injector calculator 550HP at the flywheel recomended 787cc injectors.
Im not going to stuff an engine by starving it.

Dry sump it Pete and never look back  Ross from Ross Balancers  was working on a system should all be done as it was early in the year I was checking it out at his shop  ,,,,,,FC427.....
As I lay rubber down the street I pray for traction I can keep, but if I spin and begin to slide please dear god protect my ride

FCRB26

Im running a nismo baffle kit thats why its still running a GTR sump..

All overkill but as long as im happy thats all that matters..

That VL that had the flywheel explode reckons ross has replaced his balancer twice doesnt like getting in the 900hp range ?

I wont ever have that problem.
I fitted a ross balancer to gain more engine bay room as the stock GTR balancer has 4 or 5 ribs and cannot be pulled apart and is about 130mm deep.
The ross one bolts extra pulleys on for accesories.
im only using 1 for alt/water pump its about 50mm deep..

So what plates is it going to display on the front cover of Street Machine?

BlowYaTitsOff is too many letters   :D

FCRB26

It will never be a front cover car i dont have that much time and cash at hand..

I have FCHOON plates here still but i think they will go  dont fit the whole sleeper theme my mate took his off his celica years ago i liked DCVING but maybe an original set of black and white personalised  PM something ? or  SLEEPR, FCRB26, BLOWFC,  POPSFC,

Dunno

NES304

Sleeper theme bahahahahahahahah  :D

I have black and white QLD plates NES308 off an old VH Sle I once had. Trouble is they are on my Astra...

fcwrangler

Pete, you could go with RB26FC that way they would be a standard issue plate.

Yes FC RB 26 are the same fee as well..

It use to be standard issue but now they charge you same with FCHOON their were no annual fees.
I let them run out and now they are 128 a year from memory...

Pete; from what I've seen of the build so far, I'd venture that its chances of EVER remotely resembling a "sleeper" are about as slim as a match with the wood carved off it...

Great stuff; keep up the excellent work!

(how about 'HOTGREY'  ;D and paint the block grey?)
"when I was a young lout, it was all about sex, drugs, rock'n'roll, beer and hot Holdens. Now I'm an old lout, but I've still got the old Holdens and beer..."

FCRB26

The whole theme of a sleeper or i suppose stock sorta look is what i want.
So rear venetians, spats, scratch plates, sun visor, full stock interior, mint air chief radio, taxi rail, and the wheels with hubcaps, no chrome under the bonnet all cad plated or indian ivory so it looks like its meant to be there.

Heres a sneak peak of the coil pack cover my mate Andrew of http://www.smithskustoms.com/

He Is my best mate and does tons of pinstriping and drawings and hes doing some work on the FC for me

Sorta going along the repco head theme
Going with the bottom one..
Just gotta load it into the engravers at work.

Thats a shame about the plates, mine is still registered (OLD59C) so I don't have that problem. As for the scripts, I'm in favor of the top one, looks more like the script used for the Special badges on the rear and the glovebox.

CraigFC

will you be running all the badges and chrome? or do you keep it bare and raw???
If so I agree the top one is similar to the Special Badge and looks very interesting ::)

CraigFC

I think it was JB's gun metal grey car with no chrome looks so good!

FCRB26

Yes i will be running all badges all chrome except door and guard moulds.
Really dont like the spear moulds that much..

Ol_Girl_58

I dig the top design - it screams vintage/50's era to me, and, like Jim, reminds me of the glovebox script.
