Pics coming, I got leave end of next week for 3 weeks then it will be finished. Its looking shit hot and coming along nicely. Just put on tyres and flappers, not real low any more but I will fix that. Get out the oxy and heat up those rear springs!!!!!!!!!! Not.

Thanks for posting mini, Took a few pics of the OLKAT this arvo as i finished work a bit earlier than usual. Its a fair way off the road and its now way too high.......... as i got new tyres for it, radials the same size as crossplys as i put wider flappers on. The lake pipes should be on hopefully in the next 2 weeks which will also make a difference. You will now see no exhaust as its been cut off and hidden. Next job is the inside with most of the dash now in, awaiting gear stick and a few other small things. Hope you all think its starting to look half decent but i do asure you all, once its finished it will be shit hot!!!!!! tayz

Tayz, definitely lower at the back. It sure looks like living up to its name - cool; bring it on! Jack

yep, you cant run skirts if the back is up, you need to loose the skirts or drop the back, anyway its looking good. once you get lakes pipes on its going to be a lot lower too, if you go too low the tail shaft will rub on the floor. I have air shocks on a 12 v compressor so i can have some choice in the height and adjust it for loads like if a fat person sits in the back seat. i wouldnt take any springs out, maybe get them reset or put in bigger blocks or both or both and reversed spring eyes like me!

Those phone camera pics dont do it much justice. it now has the 2" stainless dummy lake pipes with tri out lets and it definately looks lower, plus its 110mm to the bottom of the finned caps so i really cant go down to deep. It should be finished this weekend hopefully fingers crossed (waiting on hired help...) but cant really cruise in it due to bad weather. Those photos are taken also on a slope.

Hey Tayz... Have you seen the latest issue of Cruzin' magazine...? There's a HR in it with a similar FJ-style grille as yours....!! Doesn't look as good as yours though!! Cheers Les...

Hi Tayz,
Those three weeks must have been productive. Seen you out on the road late this arvo in Ballarat. From what I saw looks impressive.
Well Done

Gday there Rod, you one of the members from the Ballarat Old Holden club? Its about 98% finished, just waiting on some hubcaps from USA and just finished my gear stick which Im real proud of!!!! just misses the rear view mirror by about a couple of millimetres. Will iron out a few small problems but have been crusing in it a bit but not straying too far from home. Will get some pics on at some stage i spose
