The caption say's it all.
A picture worth a thousand words.

Part of the bolt is still in the block but the block is also damaged.
Rebuild (possible to repair?) or start with another block, red motor?
Not happy.
Any help, ideas appreciated.

red motor?

At least it will have a couple more main bearings................

I have a good 161 engine that you can have for nothing. Just drove a car back from QLD to Sydney with this engine, goes very well.

It has roller rockers fitted, if you want them as well add $150.00. Total cost engine = $0.00, roller rockers plus engine $150.00. Roller rockers, engine, and Torana sump which makes it ready for early Holden fitment $200.00. Add a 350 holley on manifold for $120.00.

Pick up from Artarmon in Sydney.

Includes starter, stock dizzy, alternator, and set of extractors.

Will separate these parts for others but you can have first dibs. Fix your grey motor problems once and for all :-)

Cheers,

Craig.

Nick I'd be taking up Craigs offer of the 161 pronto!.With all the extra goodies he mentioned!.161's are no powerhouse compared to its bigger cube red motor brothers but more cubes than a grey and like Craig said you get more mains to minimise crank whip at revs than the old grey had.
Price is DEFINATELY a bargain.

Thanks for the offer Craig.
Live on the Bellarine Peninsular bit too far to drive.
Would like to keep gray but red more practicable and a cheaper option.
Like the idea of supercharged 186
Not sure what to do.

hey utey, I would stick with the grey, but if you do get the red, buy craigs rockers, I paid over $500 for mine.
