G'day all, i am going to be replacing both outer sills on my fc sedan in the VERY near future, & have checked out the great info in here on the ways to go about it, but I will also have to replace passenger side inner sill to as it seems very sad  Cry near it's front end. I was hoping for some enlightening  Grin directions on best way how to go about it.
All help appreciated  Smiley

give it ago.  I know it is the outer, but Ken wrote the article, and I'm sure he would know how to do the Inner equally as well.

Moon, the front of the inner sill is difficult because it has a special shape.  Inner sill replacements are available but are just a straight section of steel.
You will have to take off the subframe and carefully remove the remains of the inner sill and manufacture a replacement piece from a suitable piece of steel.
Also attached to the inner sill is a crush section where the subframe bolt goes through.   You will probably have to remake this piece as well.
The very bottom of the inner sill at the front is where the mudguard bolts on so it is important that you get this section exactly right.

also look through some of the rebuilds in members photos like this one http://www.fefcholden.org.au/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=album;action=display;num=1081241151;start=80,
eventually you might find something as this part nearly always needs to be replaced.
