to anybody who might be interested

whilst out driving todat i spotted in a car yard in dandenong vic not one but two fe special sedans.

one is all balck and the other is white with a red roof. this second car also bears the rego FE 056 and is a car i have seen regularly around the glen waverly vic. area.

cant tell you much more except that they look alright in the dark under the street lights.

i have taken down the name and phone number of the yard but not sure of legality of posting[ret?]. if you want to know email me FEHOLDEN@bigpond.com

Denis,

I can't see any reason why you shouldn't post the number here - after all, presumably this car yard wants to sell the vehicles  Cheesy

If it was a private number it would be a different story, obviously.

cheers

We published a photo of this yard about 6 months ago in the Vic newsletter when he had 4 (four) FE's and FC's in his yard.
It looked like a photo from the 60's !!!
The owner also has a 3 door FE which is very rusty but is supposed to be being restored.

Hi all,
the photo Ken mentioned is one that I snapped in November last year and put in our newsletter earlier this year. The wagon on the right was owned by a member who mentioend to me this yard had a few others for sale so I went along for a look. I'm experimenting attaching the pic from a new addition RET has included sooo fingers crossed X here goes....
Cheers,
Leigh

I spoke to Ian today at Autonomics.  The Red/White FE has a red motor and is in excellent condition.
The Black FE is pretty much original still with the grey engine. Once again very good rust wise.

Prices are on application

Seems quite a few know about this yard and the cars in it, yet I haven't heard of anyone who has actually had a look. Has anybody had a close look yet? Has anybody actually spoken about price? Would be very interesred to hear if they are REALLY worth considering.

Yes - I've looked at them, the reason why no-one has had a good look at them is because they were both marked "not for sale".  However I have spoken to Ian as I said above and they are for sale, but he didn't want to quote a price.

Thanks Ken,
I'm interested in finding a car to use as an everyday mobile. What are your thoughts on what you saw, in particular the red and white car? I'd check them out myself but am in NSW. Also, your opinion would be appreciated.

It's been awhile since I looked at them (thought about buying the black one last Christmas).

they both were floating around the 3 to 4 k mark

White and red did not come with the plates, running a 179 from memory. (I may be confusing it with the cream and burgundy FC in the Pic though!)  A little rust.

Black is a stockie, used to be a daily driver, black and red interior, carpet, most of the outside chrome was painted black as well (door handles , park lights etc), a little bit of rust but nothing major.
Never got around to driving it though.

It's been awhile so don't take as gospel
Hope it helps
