I don't really know how this has happened but I have found the sports trophy at my place buried under a heap of stuff when we moved.
It is engraved with 8th Nats winners ACT but somehow never made it to Queensland & ended up here.
What can I say? embarrassing to say the least.
Ken

Maybe we should recycle the new trophy and make it into a "Most Embarrassing Moment at a Nationals" trophy or something to that effect - something that reminds us all about how the trophy came about. It is a funny story and it would be good to continue that humour into the future nationals. Kathy

I have an idea for the new trophy, lets use it as a car games trophy, so that people have the chance to use there car in a controlled environment, and show others how good there driving skills are, and how hard a V8 can go compared to a stocky.( Just an idea for the South Australians)

Not sure about this idea, Scott. 35mph around the Southern Loop at Phillip Island in a stockie on old cross plies with no seat belts, felt pretty exciting from where I was sitting You'd have to travel at three times the speed in a modified to get the same experience, I reckon Cheers John

Now we all have to be very careful with this topic that we don't drift off onto other issues, because that would only serve to take the heat off keeping Ken embarrassed for as long as possible, and his embarrassment is the point, surely. Like this ken, isn't it ? Cheers, David

Actually Ken, that was a very clever ploy 5 years ago - to pretend we'd lost it and get everyone all over the country searching for it, and talking up the sports events, when you had it all along! Oh well, it sounds like a good story, so we'll stick to it huh? House in order. Tony Galea.

Tony, good reply. House in order? I reckon wev'e only just begun! I don't reckon the W.A. guys would dare lose their trophy. Hey, Ken. How about a picture of the trophy. Just for memories sake. Colin.
