Just send in your entry and be a winner, except that entries closed 31 July 1959.

What a great prize to win though!

Cheers,
David

We had this competition featured in an issue of Sideplate a while back.  "Win a Holden Special or any one of a hundred Nestlé Hampers."  Inside the leaflet it transpires that the hampers are worth £5.  Wouldn't you be cross if yours was the second ticket drawn...  Cry

cheers

Interesting to note that they don't refer to the car by the model....just a Holden Special !

If that ad was run today, there would be 5 paragraphs of conditions and disclaimers, like.....

" we do not promote eating chocolate incase you have a reaction to the nuts that may be in a plain bar of chocolate."

" You must be over the age of 18 to enter a competition although you can drive at 17 "

" Stamp Duty, and Registration and Delivery, and 2 Tone paint, and Insurance, and Petrol at winners own cost "

I'm sure you guys could ad some more !

I have a perfect example of one of these tickets.

If anyone has the "The Australian Women's Weekly"
dated August 26, 1959  it will tell you who won

Cheers Nunzio
