Help needed again,

Yesterday I went to Rare spare to place an order for Moulded carpet for a FC Special Sedan, no problem  there but they couldn't order moulded carpet for the boot. Does anyone out there in netland know where I can get onto someone who does do moulded carpet for the boot, so I can order both at once. I still have the old boot rubber mat for a pattern to go off if they need it.

The other problem was moulding clips, Rare Spares  in Wagga basically had all the clips that would get all the mouldings on except the clips over the rear wheel double panel, there are 5 on each side that you screw into the quater panel from the outside then push the moulding over the spring clip to secure it in place, The other type where the clips that go on the ends of the front door mouldings, (rear doors are the same), you put a small self tapper screw from inside the door flange and screw it into the clip, in the ends of the moulding, ( I hope I'm making sense here Huh )  I cant find them either, or an alternative if available. Hmmm what do I do.

Can anyone me find these badly needed bits.

Thanks in advance,

Adrian

Thanks Tony,

Unfortunately I just got off the phone with them
and they couldn't help with either moulding clip.

I'm starting to think I wont be able to get them, has anybody else come across this problem and what's your advise to get around it.

Adrian,  I've just answered a similar request for Smoo in the tech area - but Village Vintage in Victoria have a clip which is suitable for pushing into a blind hole.
I found them tricky to fit and would recommend you practice on an old door or guard to get the hang of it before you ruin your guard.
Basically it involves drilling a larger hole in the guard installing the clip in the stripe then pushing the stripe onto the side of the guard, they work similar to the clips on the lower front door stripe.

Hope this helps

Thanx Guys,

I'm now right for Moulding clips, unfortunatley for the boot mat, no go anywhere except a bloke in Sydney who whould make it for $2000. It a bit out of my price range. I guess I'll have too stitch one together.

Cheers,

Adrian

Just thought I'd post a short note about the carpet fitment ,,I fitted carpet to my FB Wagon (same floor pan as FC) and noticed it didnt extend rearward far enough to cover in the side of the back seat-floor which when you open the rear door is in plain veiw ,Does anyone know of a brand which will cover in this area as it wont be long and the FC Wagon will be needing carpet aswell ?
