Because I've got my FC ute out of action(daily driver) I had to do some maintenance on my FE sedan so I had something to run around in.

One job I have put off doing was the gear box oil seal. I have asked the question previously on this forum if two seals back to back could be used for a better seal as other attempts left oil still leaking. I was advised against it.

Anyway I went into the local bearing shop and they didn't have the full length seal only one about half the length. He suggested that I use two seals and it would not cause any trouble. Put the two in a week ago and not one drop of oil has come out the rear end.

I least something has worked in my favor.

Maybe a suggestion if you are having trouble getting that good seal.

Cheers
