Hi Alex. Hell of a job again, taking all those photos. Thanks so much for making it a LITTLE easier to bear, not being able to get there. Great shots all of them, but that metallic blue FC, with the flutes in the bonnet, no bumper, whitewalls & no caps really gets me going! That car is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Cool. Looks like a era Drag car or something. There is really something I like about it. Anymore info? But saying that, ALL of the cars look great. The other great shot is the one of that sedan that looks to be fair flogging it up on the high berm on that track. Sweet. Rob J

As usual Alex, the pick of the pics! now to choose my standouts, I have to say there are many outstanding cars. I like the yellow & white Glenmix Premix concrete FE Panelvan. Kens FC Army Standard or Business (which is it Ken?) sedan. But I have to agree with 4 Hammers, is that Mal Owens' FE Special Sedan at full tilt, make that tilt tilt around Lang Lang proving ground fantastic Now tell us more about that metallic blue FC, with the flutes in the bonnet, no bumper, whitewalls & no caps! Gary PS, almost forgot, that HR Divivan, was it there to keep the peace?

Thanks Alex, great shots as always. I can't pick a favourite, but one of the best shots was of my car at Cowes, not because it's my car, but because you made it look so good. I didn't wash the car the whole weekend

Alex - top stuff. My favourite pictures - EASY My most vivid memories are from the cruise around the racetrack. It was unbelieveable !!!!!!!!!! I love the shots of the cars on the track but especially the ones with the ocean in the background. This was a once in a lifetime experience and one I will remember forever. I still can't believe we pulled that off. 12 months in the planning and we got the contract signed only days before the event. The Phillip Island racetrack would have to be one of the most scenic in the world and I was amazed coming down the straight into turns 1, 2 and 3 with the ocean and looking back at the cars behind and in front around the hairpin. Great shots Alex - I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
yes the army staff car is a business sedan (217 model) and is absolutely genuine. I have the receipt from the dept of supply auction where the army disposed of the vehicle from the Marybirnong army surplus yard. The fire extuinguisher is factory fitted and is the original piece that came with the car

Alex, Love all the cars and to see them in all one spot was a great feeling. When l went on top of the pit garages at the race track to enjoy the moment it was like being in heaven looking over all the FE's & FC's. Your photo's are great and are there for ever. Well done Alex and thanks for sharing with us all Cheers Tony.

Here you go Scott. That's the pic you commented on when I took it. Pity it was overcast though. 4hammers & Zulu...LMAO. The pic of Mal on the speed loop is my favourite as well. Sure looks like he is having fun! Stinky...I really dig that light blue interior. Ken...very pleased you landed the use of the track. I think it would be scary on a GP Bike with those cross winds though. Tayz...cool cars are easy to photograph. Tony...I was surprised not to see anyone with a camera hanging over the grandstand wall when the cars were lined up in front of the pits. Thanks everyone for the nice comments. Regards Alex

Thanks Alex for taking the excellent photo of my car on the banked circuit.
I had a ball, brought back memories when I did some competition in my car.
The navigator (Lorraine) told me I wasn't a teenager any more.
Mal.

Hahah. That WAS you Mal. Man, you look to have the pedal to the metal in that shot. Note the front end lifting off from all the raw power you are unleashing! Eat that Red motor boys!!! Good to see you still haven't grown up.

Great pics Alex as always!! Seeing as I missed out on the Saturday run (damn FB windscreens being so scarce on Good Fridays and all!!), I was counting on everyone posting their pics so I could see what I missed out on..... Looks like it was a great day!! I've been on holidays since the Nats, but will post some of my pics soon I hope... but this is one of my favourites from your stash (won't link though)... http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i28/fefcnats06/F%20MonLangLang/Mon068.jpgI was lucky enough to cruise around Lang Lang in John's convertible (as I was car-less), and it was AWESOME!!! Flying around the speed loop in his FE was an experience to be remembered..!! I even got to drive the FE around the inside loop which was unbelievable... Thanks for sharing your pics....! Cheers Les...

Hey Les. Looking forward to those pics. Here is the pic you mentioned. Would have been a buzz riding in and driving John's convertable on the loop. When linking to photobucket in YABB, you got to remove any %20 in the URL and replace it with a space. Did the FB get it's screen OK for the return trip? Regards Alex

Thanks for that Alex.... I knew about the "%" sign, but not the "20" Cruising in the convertible was a real buzz.... I'm pretty sure John enjoyed it too...!! As for the FB screen... we collected one (a "zonie") from Gregor (FE/FC and FB/EK clubs of Vic) near Lang Lang on the Monday as a backup, and ordered a laminated one from the Albury windscreen guys on Tuesday morning. I thumbed a ride home with John Slater from Albury while Ken waited for the screen to arrive Tues arvo/Wed morn.... it arrived Tues and he was home about midnight... Have to thank Richard Thomas, Scott McKenzie, Des Gillett, Tony Galea and Gregor for all thier help in trying to get us on the road Good Friday, and again on the Tuesday.... much appreciated guys... Pics coming soon Les
