Hello all, i am a owner of an fc holden that i have built i have got it to the stage where i am going to get a road worthy but i have been told different stories by people that i have to put seat belts in. i have searched the net for this topic and i can not find any info.  can someone help with a web site or anything that will help.  Grin

Depends where you are, if in NSW & if it is stock standard, then you can register it without belts.

This is providing there are no belts fitted, if they are fitted I think you have to retain & maintain them, although it is easy enough to weld or plug up the holes if you don't want them.

I have registered 2 FE's, without belts, the last being around 4 years ago & no probs.

If you are in VIC then I think it is mandatory to fit belts regardless.

Don't know about other states, in NSW I think it is rta.com

Your best bet would be to contact the Rego Authority in your state.
In SA you can pretty much do as you please as FCs didn't come out with belts fitted.

 ;)howdy in VIC you dont have to fit them,as my fc went through reg 8 months ago with none in the rear,but i was once a tow truck operator,and i would fit them in the front at least as ive seen them save many a life or two!!!! ;)cheers jamie
