WTB: Cowl drain tube, seat surround panel

Hi guys,

I'm after a cowl vent drain tube.. after years of saving mine, I lost it!  don't know how or where but it was fitted to the car.

any idea who makes these?

also, there is a small panel that fits under the lower seat surround at the rear of the seat.  it covers the seat frame from view.

require one (drivers side) or will take a pair if available.

your help is apprecaited

Is there sonmething special about the cowl vent drain tube? I was just going to get some rubber hose to do mine.

good question Stinky..

the hole thru firewall is quite narrow, the drain diameter is quite wide.

A thin - walled rubber tube was what I was using.

i'd reckon a heated rubber tube would probably slip over.

that would be too easy wouldn't it?

I asked the guys at my local Rares today and they said to use the largest bore you can get on there as they tend to get clogged with debris. Nothing special just hose.

Cowl vent tube is just a piece of hose for a modified car, but a very special hose with a 30 degree bend in it for a restorer


By the way I have the plastic piece you need for the back of the front seat.  $10
