Could anyone help me to identify the name of the colour on my two tone FC Wagon. Red bonnet and guards and lower body with white flash and roof.
The paint ID plate reads 256-203
and next line reads PRO 253-2053.
It is the name of the red that I need.
Regards

John, you have a problem as your car is not originally red and white.
Body was originally Adobe Beige (256-2031) and the roof and flash were Terracotta (253-2053)
Terracotta is like a dark pink type of colour.

If it was a standard mix from a colour chart perhaps Leigh (previous owner) can tell us what it was? Otherwise you might have to get it professionally matched. This might be a better option anyway, as the paint is a few years old now.
cheers

Front is Porsche "Guards Red" with F**d "Polar White" roof & rear. You'll find the original colour (Terracota) is still evident inside the tailgate trim.
cheers,
Leigh

Thanks guys as usual, great support and Leigh I love the car so much. I need funds at the moment for a Die Cast Model Car project in China and will be selling my original Bathurst HT 350 Monaro to fund it, the FC was never in question of leaving home. When visitors come into my garage they go straight to the FC never the Monaro and comment on how beautiful she is. My daughter ( 17 ) said if I ever picked her up in the Monaro she would not get in but the FC would be welcome. Anyway thank you all again for your help.

Good to see you have made an appearance you little devil.
Are we saying it took Ford and Porsche to make an FC look so good.
Hmmm I wonder if we mixed a little Rover ,Oldsmobile and Zephyr together what we would come up with .
Or how about FC ,Chev and Budnik .
There must be some combination's out there that work

The Monaro goes tomorrow, she is a 66k original No7 build with all log books and original delivery papers. The car has been on blocks since 1987.
Daytona Bronze 4 speed original redwalls etc etc.
I drove it around the block once in the year I have owned it.
Bye
John.
