Looking forward to this, Col.
It would want to be BIG $$$ for one of those babies. You're looking at $25,000 - $30,000 for a Waggott.
Try & find out the cast number if you can. There weren't that many made.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

I had a long chat at Eastern Creek with the guy who has the Waggot in the Humpy. He said they made either 7 or 9 of them.

Col
Can not wait to see the photos. I have seen and admired the Waggot at the adelaide motor museum, but never in an FC.

Cheers Jim

I researched and wrote a piece on the Waggott-headed Humpy in last month's Sideplate, and John is correct - only 9 of them were made between 1953 and 1962, which equates to 1 a year.  They either had triple Webers or six Amals fitted to them, and Merv Waggott later estimated he probably lost £500 on every one he built. Shocked

At least one of these was bored and sleeved to an amazing 180 cubic inches!!!

cheers

I was referreing to the one with WAG-00T plates that was seen at the Shannons Eastern Creek Classic in Sydney a couple of months ago.

It is owned by the Waggott family.

The one we're itching to see is apparently in an FC...

cheers

Why are we waiting, WHY ARE WE WAITING?? .... lol Tongue Bring on the Waggot pics !!! Grin Grin

Can't wait to see the pics with Amal carbs in place and all, will look real neat. It seems fitting Amal carbs to each cylinder head port was popular with racing vehicles at the time, Don Algie used to get around the racing circuits in the early-mid 1960's with a wicked XK Falcon kitted up with six 1-5/32" motorbike Amal carbies. If I can get access to a scanner then I'll post pics of this F#@d as the vehicle looks sik with the Amals fitted up.

Cheers ...... Pete

but the spinner's are missing anyone
keen p.m me.it was a dealer's personal
car before he bought it off him.he was
the one who originally put the waggott
in it.but until the donk pic's turn up i'm
starting to wonder, but i will not give up
trying to get them,he personally visited
me yesterday. i would love to post of the
car he came in but he ask me not too,
as it is a small world.but it was a bloody

Nice looking FC.
I wonder how it has held up over the years.
What colours is it, hard to tell from the black and white pic.
Still waiting for them donk pics. Thanks for chasing up on this.

Awesome pic Col, just that bodyflash kit more than makes up for no actual Waggot pic !!!

By the way, can someone enlighten me on what particular style that FC bodyflash kit is? As far as I can tell, it resembles the 'Crestline' style but hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Cheers ...... Pete

Hi Pete.
Sorry to hi-jack this thread for a second. But I may be able to help with a flash kit for the EJ. I was offered one a year or so back. I will give the guy a call & see if he still has it.

I actually have a complete EH Detroit kit. Not sure how that would go on the EJ though.
