Does anyone happen to have a set of the clips ( little bars with bolts ) that hold the rear door Chrome Belts ( I think thats what they are called ), onto the outside of the doors ?

I ordered a clips set from Rare Spares, but they do not include these.

Can ayone help please ??

Hi Mark,

do you mean the ones that hold on the "wide" section of the flash trim on the rear door?

cheers.....Brad

That's them !

I believe the trims are referred to as  "BELTS" ?

There are 3 flat bars ( varying lengths for the varying widths of the belt ), that have threaded bolts attached, so you can bolt them to the door.

Hey Dean,

Both sides would be great.  I have only one side, but they are rusted beyond any good use.

If you can help me out, I'd be very grateful.  My car comes out of the paint shop soon ( after 12 months inside ), so I'm busy trying to find everythign I need to put the car back together.

Cheers

Mark

hi mark, i dont think my ones are original items, from memory they are home made but do work well. even if i send you over 1 set you can use these as templates for the other.
i will have a check for you when i get home.

Hi Mark,

I'll have a look too, mine would be similarly rusty and I doubted as I wrote the previous reply that you'd want them....I'll sift out what I've got, we're coming down on Fir - Sun so hopefully we can catch up...got some other goodies for you too...

If they're not good enough, as Smithy says, they are a template for making some "fresh" ones.....

cheers....Brad

Thanks Dean and Brad..........I suppose 10 minutes with the wire brush, and a dousing in rust converter then painting, could render them useful again......

whatever you got guys, I'll be grateful.

Brad...I'm working Sat Morning at Retravision, but home rest of the weekend.    Hope to catch up !

hi mark, i checked last night for you and found that i only have two bars for each side, it looks like i am missing the bottom
(smallest) bars, the others are original and are in good cond. the 2 middle bars do have some rust but are still quite good.

Ken...still interested....How Much ?

I have some coming from smithy and possibly Brad, but the whole set, and not sure of condition, as they haven;t arrived yet, so if you have complete sets in very good condition, then I'd be interested.

Just need to make sure it doesn't break my bank.

Thanks Dean.....I haven't been to the old car yet.   It's at my old house 6 k's out of town, but I do go to it regularly at present picking bits off it, so I should get there again over the weekend.
I'll let you know about that choke cable then.
Cheers
