I agree Nicko ,That shifter would realy get in the way - could even be a form of contraceptive huh Pretty grouse to see more custom's rolling out of hidden stables - We are living in the golden era . I'm dang near sure of it

Hey Al. I have just sent the link to Ben for ya. Along with the Roof Chop 101 post. Does Ben have a garage at his place, or do we have to drag the ute back up the Mountains? Regards Alex Nice pics Justin. I hope to see this ute around.

I reckon it's a bit short, he should cut in a sun roof and extend it by a foot at least

It is a little short, when I had a manual in mine the knob was inline with the rear view mirror, at this time I lived on hot dogs for two years and was always getting suace on my mirror. He has his inline with the mirror but the mirror sits lower. They were the days, I would drive into town holding the stick down the bottom, but then when I got there, I would sit low with my hand curled over the knob like a monster from a Ed Roth drwing and go for a couple of hot laps slamming through all the gears.

Yeah, it was kind of like that, it was pretty sad going to the hurst auto shifter and losing it as it was kind of the main feature of the car, everyone worth impressing who understood was impressed, and I could never bother explaining to those that didn't understand becuase I knew if they didn't already understand, they never would would understand, A mate did a auto conversion in his EK and added 3 ft to a torana auto shifter but it wasn't the same as his 3 ft manual shifter, There aint anything cooler than slamming through a H pattern with a 3ft stick down the main street of town, ask anyone who has had one.
