It's on again, the annual Holden memorabilia, collectables, accessories and NOS Auction is happening on the 18th August in Melbourne.
See the list so far at http://www.fefcholden.org.au/vic/auction.html
or just visit the FE/FC Vic website and click from there.
Note that this is just the preliminary list and is not numbered as it will change next month.
Bidding is available to interstate members via email or post and is easily done.  Approximately 30 % of last years auction went to interstate bidders.
The final list will be posted early August and then bidding can begin.

Any questions - I will be happy to answer.

Auction update,  the July list has now been published on the Vic web site.  Now 132 items with still more to come.  Check it out
Are there any interested interstate bidders out there ?
please reply here if you are interested in bidding on any of the items.  Dont place any bids on the chat line.  Just advise me of your interest to bid and I will provide instructions.

After the final edition of the auction list - all items will have a lot number.  At this time, bids can be placed with me through my email  ken@vic.fefcholden.org.au

All bids placed are strictly confidential and work as follows;

Lets say you bid a maximum amount of $50 for item 26.
The bidding may start at $10.  If the item sells for $25 - this is the amount you pay, if it sells for $45 - then once again this is the amount you pay.  If the item goes over $50 then you do not win the item. (Sometimes an item may sell for $50, but you do not win the item, this is because another bidder has placed the $50 bid first)

I will advise by return email after the auction on the results and if you were successful with any bids.
No money is required up front.

Obviously we rely on the honesty and integrity of the people bidding to pay for any item that they win.  If the bidder does not pay for the item, the car club is left holding the item as we have to reimburse the seller.

To date we have only had one individual who has defaulted, but we do not wish to change the procedure to ruin it for everyone else just because of one lowlife.

Over the last few years many interstate bidders have won probably 20% of the items that have been offered.

So that's it - very simple and I hope that you are successful with your bidding.
