Hi Stix,
If you are talking about the picture of the convertible wreck in the paddock, I think you will find it is a photoshop convertible.  It isn't a real car.

On the other hand, there is a blue convertible with white stripe (FE) belonging to a NSW or Vic club member which is very much roadworthy.

I couldn't find the exact post that you were talking about from 'son of a restorer'.

You must be referring to John Wanner's convertible.

I am wanting to get a close look at this car one day.

I also want a side by side shot with his FE wagon.

Both cars look fantastic.

Cheers

Ed

Tim (SOAR) was in fact quite glad that someone thought it was good enough to be thought to be real Grin

Ed, John will have the convertible at Phillip Isalnd for the nats, I assume you will be there?

THANKS FOR ALL THE INFO GUYS
THE REASON I ASKED THE QUESTION IS THAT THE PHOTO DOES LOOK SUSPECT EXCEPT THAT MY UNCLE CONVERTED THAT CAR BACK IN '65.HE DOES NOT HAVE A COMPUTER BUT WAS SHOWN PHOTOS OF THIS BLUE WRECK IN THAT PADDOCK BY A FRIEND WHO WAS LOOKING ON THE NET FOR HIM. I THEN WENT ON THE SEARCH AND ALSO FOUND THIS PHOTO.I HAVE SEEN THIS CAR ORIGINALLY WHEN I WAS YOUNGER AND MY UNCLE STILL HAS PHOTOS AT HOME. THE FRONT WINDSCREEN WAS FROM A VAUXHALL WHICH HE MADE  SUIT AND USED TWO NEW REAR DOOR SKINS TO SEAL BACK SECTION AND MAKE 2 DOOR. AT THE TIME HE BELIEVED THAT THERE WERE'NT ANY LIKE HIS ,BUT NOT SURE ABOUT RECENT TIMES HE IS A HOLDEN MAN AND I AM A MUSTANG MAN SORRY GUYS
THIS WAS THE FIRST CAR HE DID AND WAS FOLLOWED BY AN HD HOLDEN AND THEN AN S SERIES VAL.I HAD BEEN IN ALL CARS BUT UNFORTUNATELY TO YOUNG TO REMEMBER ALL DETAILS
SO I AM CURIOUS AS TO WHERE AND WHEN THIS PHOTO WAS TAKEN AS IS MY UNCLE
THIS IS A GENUINE REQUEST FOR INFO SO ANY MORE WOULD HELP THANKS
