Hi Guys,

I drive a MX23 1974 Toyota Mark II Hardtop (sorry its not a holden haha)

My dad used to be affiliated with the NSW section of the club, I found some whitewalls down beside the house the other day for my Mark II... theyre 13" and they were made by Atlas, i decided to squeeze them around the hubcaps and then put the hubcaps on the rims, the results speak for themselves...

This is written on the whitewall...

Any help is greatly appreciated...

You dont know what the prices are do you?

Im tossing up whether to buy 14" ones and have them put onto the tyres properly or whether I should just by the 13" again and throw them under the hubcaps...

Hey Willy, what's your Dad's name?  (I was tempted to ask "Who's your Daddy?"  Lips sealed)

Our club's turning 25 next year, always interested to hear what historical members are up to these days.

cheers

Hey Willy,

Nice MkII, I owned one just like it (minus the whitewalls).  It had a 6cyl motor etc.
for $700 and 7 months rego, it was the best car i ever bought.  Did all these have a 6 cyl motor?

The car was sold to a friend and written off in less than a week. :-/ Roll Eyes
he stopped to park it on a busy road and before he got out it was horribly rear ended.  the  boot was in line with the rear window.

harko,
Am i missing something here? what use is a humble MkII?  Is it closely related to the Crown?

Cheers

Ed

PS Willy those whitewalls make the car look very beautiful.

I have never seen this method used to attach the whitewalls. I would think that when you get up some speed the whitewall would want to pop the cap off.
