At the risk of comming up with a stack of little boxes with "X" in them, I have just decided to add a link to my photobucket site. It has some great photos of the property I visited today. I wasn't allowed to take photos of what is in the sheds, but will soon I hope.

What a find...you could spend days there sourcing parts and just looking around....

Hi Nick.
Thats right, Mate. But I have been at this for a fair time now, only just got a camera though. This place has a stack of big sheds & in them are some very, very cool things. Antique motorbikes, NOS, petrol/oil stuff & so much antique furniture, you would not believe.
I wish I had a camera when I found that old dealer up north. I walked in & he had a fantastic display of Holden NOS along one wall.
"Man, that display looks great" I said. "Any of it for sale"??
"Yes, Mate, it is all for sale" He replied.

It had NOS Mudflaps in boxes, Headlight surrounds, mirrors, one of those little plastic weaathershield mirrors, the list goes on! That would be my best ever find!

p.s. No bosch doors on their own, but I do have a complete Bosch heater with the doors attached.

I meant from the photography side of things, you take heaps of photos and when you get home you think, shit I forgot to get a pic of that car!!!! Doh!!!

Ahh, OK.
Yes, I know what you mean. There was a Simca Veddete Belaise V8 there (A VERY rare car) that had only 60,000 miles on it. Interior is immaculate & body in excellent condition. I wanted to get some photos, but there is a horse there. Horses scare the living s**t out of me for some reason. It looked nice, but when I clambered over the fence, it came over to me. I just took off.
Hmmmmm, maybe another reason I should go to therapy!

That FC Utility appears to have a painted grille - quite rare.

Rob, you might 'need' to take some more pictures of that one for a reference.

The FC Van is looking quite 'Safari' with the LandRover/Jeep spare wheel positioning.  Who needs a Continental kit?

Yep, it is a painted grille. Number 327 off the production line if I recall the plate correctly. The panel van does look cool with the "Safari" option. A little known Nasco acccessory.

Too much to post them all up. One of the cars on top of the big hill, which was the first car I opened a door, had a NOS set of ute door scuff plates sitting there (Pictured). He is going to sell them to me hopefully. I have 2 FB utes & they would come in VERY handy.

All the cars in that line are utterly shagged. I have never seen so much rust. They are sitting in dirt up to the sill panels. Note the bonnet on the EJ. Entirely rusted away except for the underbonnet support.

Cars up on the big hill where all very salvageable. The international ute that is pictured, was bought new by this guys Dad. He actually remembers coming home from the local dealer in Devonport with his Dad & can still recall the smell of the new Duco. The Roadster is a cool car. I only found it up there, when I saw the sun glinting of the grille surround. Clambered up the hill & there it was. Again, very salvageable.

As for the Oil signs, he has 3 sets of each. Owned a big servo back in the 50s down in the Midlands. The sheds are full of stuff. Antiques & old motorbikes just to start.

But bugger me, if he is not the most cantankerous old coot around. Don't go up there as he will set the dogs onto you & put some buckshot over your head!

That picture would make a great postcard/print.  That is one thing you will, or may never find again, all those old holdens in a row like that absolute GOLD.  Ever since I wa s small kid wrecks have been a keen interest to me also.  I lived in the country for years and the bush behind our house was full of old holdens.  I still remember ones that were still going and were just dumped there.  I remember my ol man selling an FB station wagon registered for $10- from memory!!

Seriously though, I will be heading back down soon (After my nerves setlle) & can get some more shots of those cars. I have my head around the camera a bit better now, so can improve on those shots.

I want 50% of all royalties due to the fact the camera dosent belong to Rob and first option to all NOS stuff he finds. I think that is a fair deal as he said he would take me along for a ride to look at all the old cars, I am heart broken here, I am now too emotional to write anymore

Rob,  when/if you get back could you make a written record of the ute and van numbers please.  Safari kit may be heavy unless the optional gas ram kit was fitted to help with the heavy bonnet.

What is the roadster ?  It's not Ford or Chev and doesn't look like Dodge either  Is it Mopar of some sort?

I was hoping you would get your "Cyber-Gas axe" on one of those. There is another one in bloody good condition in another area of this property & I did have an idea of doing something like that. Man, it would be cool.

They were actually sold by GMH dealers. In the glove box of the good condition one, is the complete glovebox folder, with the GMH logo on the front. It also has all of it genuine paperwork in really good nick.
