I noticed some time ago on the forum that someone had listed the paint codes for grey motors ,I have gone back quite along way cant find um, sorry I,ll right them down this time regards Malcolm.  ps I think it was ret

thanks very much unfortunatly I had some paint mixed by a sample i.e rocker cover. I painted the gearbox yeserday and it looks nothing like good old holden grey so we,ll try again regards Malcolm

This is the colour from the formula in the link:



It's a deep grey with an almost green tinge.

Fast Eddie's description is right.

Alfio colour matched my engine paint, from the rocker cover of my other original engine, certainly looks similiar to Ed's, and certainly has green in it.
The 1956 FEs were quite different in colour from the earlier Holdens.
