Heh Martin you should change your log on to Mobile mechanic your help and patience with the Vic mob was invaluable as we climbed up and up and up and up well over 1500 metres!!!!! No wonder the greys got hot, the Vic ones anyway, the SA ones were good. Glad to see you got home alright albeit with a few tyre problems! Would love to see the photos with Kaths car with the stock tyre!?

It was remiss of me not to get a pic of Effee with my spare on it.  You'll just have to take my word for it that somehow it didn't look quite right.   Tongue  :-/

Perhaps for the trip to Phillip Island next year you will not make the run over on Kiwi tryes ( full of hot air & can blow off with out warning.)

Cheers
Sarge

P.S Who own's the Wagon. As it's the same as the one I am about to push into the shop. I would love a few more pics of it.

The wagon belongs to Steve Johnson of Mt Gambier - SA club member.  He won 3rd place (I think) for FC modifieds at Jindabyne.  He also got the award for best FC at SA's All Holden Day last November.

Steve will read this and will put up details of the car (won't you, Steve  Smiley)

Just worked out my fuel consumption - got 28.57 mpg over 1,842 miles.  Certainly can't compain about that.

I've just noticed that Steve's car is featured on the front cover of the 2003 Nats book

Glen
I think I best say post here so that we can all enjoy them. I am after Ideas for the wagon I am about to embark on. This would be one of the nicest ones I have seen.

Steve
If you do read this please do as Martin has said and put up details. What running gear, paint colour, Wheels just general stuff. That would be great I will be watching the members car section.

Cheers

Ahh, that's the 2003 Nats Video, as put together by Dion Johnson.  Steve's car features prominently in it, one of the benefits of a brother in the business Grin

cheers

Here are three additional pictures.  Collected 1st place in the modified wagon category at the Jindabyne Nat's. Wagon has 15 X 6 Trigon billet Wheels, Commodore trimatic gearbox with VS commodore console. 179HP motor. Paint is Northern Queensland Blue / blue mica with extra pearl added. Seats are from a VP Calais with the backseat modified to fit existing style of fold down seating.  Currently working on another FC Wagon.
